Meow Rice is an ongoing digital comic written and illustrated by Eileen Widjaja that tells the story of Devina Halim and her family. The story follows Devina through the ups and downs of pursuing her dream despite her father’s blatant disapproval of her career choices. Meow Rice touches upon themes of navigating around family and tradition, balancing between putting oneself first and filial piety, and breaking toxic generational cycles through a Chinese-Indonesian lens. The comic is currently being produced with collaboration with Dauntless Stories.

Massacre of Something Creek is a 10-page short comic written by K. G. Ming and C. J. Hudson and drawn by Eileen Widjaja. This comic was created for an anthology titled Coiled to Strike, published by Wildstar Press. The anthology centers around Wildstar’s new original character named Emory Graves, an mysterious and elusive anti-hero. In this project, I redid the Emory’s character design and also gave a fresh take on our own original character called Deputy Jim Young.
