The Rise and Fall of Icarus

This was a short 2-page comic I created for a university exhibition in 2021. The theme I was assigned at that time was 'air' and through this comic, I wanted to explore how the air could be both liberating and destructive at the same time, especially within the context of Icarus's mythos. For the layouts and panelling of this comic, I had a lot of fun exploring Icarus's wings and using it to craft the borders and reading flow. I also took a lot of inspiration from the talented Patrick Gleason and Jorge Jimenez's creative Batman spreads.
